Default anyone having luck in the Boston area?

I've been around Lynn, Salisbury Beach, the Mystic River area... nothing hitting! A friend floated the weird idea that the shark activity near the Cape has skeered 'em all off. I've been mainly shore casting but my boating buddies havn't been having luck either. Had some luck in the New Bedford area but even that was pretty weak.

Out fishing on a p-town charter this weekend... not great on saturday, but sunday afternoon could barely get the lure back into the boat without a fish on it. Sadly, not a single keeper for me but the boat brought in a number. If the sharks are scaring 'em, they've run towards the inner cape.

I don't know about the whole shark thing buts there's plenty of fish to be had. Its seems the bait has been pushed into the flats. I've never seen my fish finder lit up like that. Its funny how you drive all over the place and find fish right around where you put in.......could have saved a lot of gas

There around...look harder. What ever techniques your using now you might want to change some of the areas you mentioned suck unless there is a really strong tide (which they were at the beginning of this week) and now as they start to weaken with the moon phase most of the areas you mentioned I won't visit.

Gotta love the meat killing charter boats!

I'll be home . . . soon. What the heck am I gona surf cast for? Cod? Well, maybe it'll have to do. I'll be on vacation, so I will try. I have a few deep water drop off's within casting distance. Maybe I'll skish out a bit for em!

Other than that it's going to be fresh water for me. Really didn't work out, because I got all kinds of blanks and reels too.

I remember my dad caught a decent schoolie in mid April. Water temps still aren't near 50f yet.

cheers
-Dana

go freshwater fishing. start with backyards then move onto the deep holes like basements. After that try flyfishing the rivers their easy to find, they all have street signs.
