Default Anything Biting At Troy Dam Area

I was just wondering if it was worth taking a trip[ up there?can we still fish there its been awhile since I was up that way ??

You can still fish up there. I go down every couple of weeks. The water has been VERY low even at high tide. Try using shallow diving crankbaits and jerkbaits for smallies and pike. The walleye should be moving in there pretty good in the next couple of weeks.

Not quite sure. Obviously herring is a no this time of year (live anyway). They usually sell frozen all year, although with the new bait regs I am not positive. They usually have live minnows though. Call them up (518) 273-2582. BTW Jim posted that back in 2004. I tell you, you want good info look here

Hey all,
Just got in from the river, took the family out for an hour or so. Didn't fish hard, but caught one nice pike, one smallie, and a yellow perch. We didn't quite make it up to the dam, but I hope to in the next week or so.
