Possum Kingdom Lake TX
Fished Possum Kingdom Lake over the T-day weekend. We ran into some locals that told us the lake had a gold algea bloom about 4 years ago and killed a lot of the striper population. We started fishing top water early in the mornings and then moved to the deeper water and started catching fish with the best fishing coming in the mid afternoon in 26' to 32' of water using 3/4oz slabs chartruse and white. We were able to catch 3 stripers although they all were just under the 18" limit. We did however limit out on Sand bass. The lake was only about 3' low and fairly clear for a TX lake.
