Post your rod and reel combo
Hi all,
Post up your rod and reel combo that you use for striper fishing. Include how long the rod is, model of the reel, what is your overall opinion on the combo, etc.
Also include if you fish with it off a boat or from the surf.

Fishing off the boat
6'-6" Diawa Sealine graphite SLG22 med heavymatched with an Abu 7000C3.
6'-3" Abu Crossfire XT heavy action matched with an Abu 6500C3
The Abu rod is a very stout rod that will work big fish. I think the rod weighs like 2 ounces  and when matched to the Abu is a dream.
The Diawa rod is excellent quality rod.

8' lamiglass bl8050c with accurate 870c for fishing fast rips with live bait
7' lami bl7050c with accurate 870c for fishing sound with live bait
7' lami bl7030 with accurat 870c for fishing small live baits, chunks, clam and other light baits
7' custom honey lami with shimano tld 15 for chunking
surf
10' lami surfking with penn squidder for chunking surf
11' ron arra 1-5oz with zeebaas 2.2 for plugging
10' lami with baitrunner 4500 for bait
8'6 lami with zeebaas for bucktailing and small plugs
and a few others for other niche applications
