What is the best rod & reel combo for live bait and bucktail striped bass fishing?

Best Combo?

The one that catches fish for you................. I've tried em' all. Top end to Wally World specials. Salt water kicks the crap out of fishing gear and I think all manufacturers design their stuff to wear out or break. I used to swear by Penn, years ago it was very good. The stuff they make now is of poor quality. Find something that's middle of the road and just think of it as disposable. I've been saltwater fishing for more than 30 years and have taken excellant care of my gear. It's like everything else....... "they don't make em' like they use to" Hope this helps.

i think the Torque 300 is best cause its got a really good drag capability the down fall is that its 399.99 its one of the best salt good chose of u ur willing to spend 400$$
