Hopefully coax an early strike at my fave upriver spot this coming season. Hope to beat the current record. Will work hard up there and will begin May 1. Hopefully the weather and conditions will cooperate.

If not there, maybe the ?

With any luck, Mid May (assuming the boat's not on the lake still trolling for trout/salmon), tube and worm, harbor Islands area and about 8 lbs. With a lot of luck, on fly!

First day in march where the temp hits 48 degrees and we have an afternoon high and then outgoing tide. I will use clams and sand worms and I will catch my first keeper on March 15! Jersey side of the bay.

Yeah, bring it, 11 weeks away.

Roccus, what do you use on the end of your white buck tail?

Probably the first or second week in May, in one of rivers during the herring run, on a casting swimmer.
