Default Re: Soft plastics

Most stripers I get on artificials is in the creeks. On the main river its more needle in a hay stack and not usually very productive. I have caught em on bomber long A's. We were anchored and ended up in the middle of a mass spawn. Tons of fish thrashin the surface in casting range. Ended up gettin a 29" male. I wouldn't recomend casting plugs on river but if I did id concentrate on mid river flats 5-10' of water. I do well in the creeks from early run through july on 5.5" shadlicious swimbaits in 3-8' of water. Usually either at night or crack of dawn at the headwaters. This pattern works best for me late may all through june and works best in dingy water believe it or not
