Default Saw 'em, but couldn't entice 'em

Well tried our best and didn't manage any Lake anna stripers today. Tried just about every possible presentation to them. Saw several fish nailing baitfish at the surface but no matter what the stripers wouldn't bite. Did manage 3 largemouth and 1 pickerel in 9 hours of fishing :D so it wasn't a total waste....

Jeff...did you try the 3 main types of fishing on those Stripers?...
1) Topwater (eg. Striper Swiper)
2) Mid-Lower Water Column (eg. Diving crank, bucktail jig or swim shad)
3) Bait (eg. live or dead)

Thats the worst...when you can see them but whatever you do you can't hook up...

Worse than going out and getting skunked without seeing any...

Yup pretty much, but like I said, at least we didn't get skunked, did have to repair his outdrive before we went on the water though. Had a great time, and beautiful weather......hit about 67 today water temps 43-53 depending on the part of the lake

I was in rural Maine once, in a convience store...there was the brand new issue of "Shotgun Fishing Monthly" on the rack...

...I asked you this...how can there be a mag devoted to shotgun fishing?...not to mention having enough information to make it "monthly"??????

I can just see Briggs out on the beach in his wader w/ a 12 gauge pointed at the water waitin' for an innocent Striper to swim by...and KABOOOOM!!!!!
