I just wanted to say hi and say this site gets me pumped up to do some fishing. I live near Roanoke, VA, and get to fish for Stripers in Smith Mtn Lake and Claytor Lake. I'm getting ready to make my annual trip to my dad's house in Levittown, Pa, at the end of May. From their my dad and I fish the spring run of stripers in North Jersey mostly out of Belmar up to the Atlantic Highlands. I love reading about the striper bite in the ocean on this board. The last two years the the fishing up there was phenominal with tight lines every day, catching several fish in the 20 to 35lb range. I just hope this year is as good; it spoiled me for life. I can catch the occassional 20lb striper out of the lakes around here but it pales in comparison. Well good luck to all and maybe I'll see you on the water. :D

Hi Manimal

I love to fish the Highlands and Belmar and was weaned and spoiled on those fish. I used to take the party boat out of sheepshead bay so one day, I decided to go to the highlands and belmar. I would alternate the drive thinking maybe I should go further south for a better bite. The funny part is there was the boats from Belmar, the highlands and sheepshead bay in a circle all in the same spot in Raritan Bay.
Still looking to break a 50. Hopefully this is the year. I spend most of my time surcastin. I think thats where my 50 will come from 8)

Enjoy the site and have fun. BTW great avatar.
How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is quite clearly Ocean.
