Default Spoons?

Hi guys,

I have been wiper fishing for two summers. I fish in Kansas for about a week. My largest is a 13 pound wiper caught on a 5-inch shiner. Anyway, I want to know if spoons are a productive wiper lure. I used a 1/2 ounce spoon last year and only caught one wiper, but alot of white bass. I was wondering what size/brand of spoon should I try if they are good.
Thanks alot, wipers are my favorite fish,
Bread.

Unfortunatley with a lake that holds both hybrids and whiteys your going to have to deal with the white bass situation.
As far as spoons, there are so many many to choose from that will produce, and you will only discover a good one with trial and error on your particular bodie of water. But if I had to choose one for trolling, I will go with a Krocodile spoon from Luhr Jensen, and for casting, a good ole Hopkins
