Default the old Walnuts special is dead

the cheap $40 Shakespeare Surf setup I got from Walmart 6 years ago is finally done. Broke the rod Sundee morning trying to hook a 50 lb rock in the Hudson. Had some money to spend at Cabela's again so I ordered me up a 10' Salt Striker surf rod......it's gotta be better than that old cheapo

I just got me a 7' salt striker. A little heavy for my taste, but has a pretty nice feel to it. Have yet to tie into anything with it yet though.
