Haven't seen any posts on any boards other than the river has been slowing down this past weekend. So the bay should be starting, I'm going to try it as soon as I hear something. It's just too far to drive for skates and dogfish with the price of gas.

We're starting to get a few on this side of the basin. Some friends were down yesterday and got three, no keepers. Was down on Sunday ,,seen a keeper pulled in. Still pretty slow yet. I don't think it is going to be a good year, but you never know.

Sorry Dobb we've been catching 'em here in Maine before they have a chance to make it that far north...but the ones I've released I've pointed your way!!! What do you usually use for bait/lure.....the next one I get I'll whisper in it's ear to look for yours

I usually use gaspereau or herring. Friends were down yesterday,,got two keepers, I think that they were from our "private" lol, Stewiacke River stock of stripers, they are coming back out into the bay now. It's only going to get better from now on.
