Default Old school lure?

Does any body know anything about the lure pictured below? Im pretty sure its old and they dont make it anymore but im not sure. Its made by rapala and has a metal lip or swimplate. Its jointed and when worked it slithers like crazy-like an eel(i think it may be a "jointed eel", partly based on the colors, but im not sure)

thats kind of a broad question. does anyone know if it is in fact a jointed eel? Also how do you fish the thing & in what type of a setting, any advice would be nice.

Brian, that looks like the Rapala Saltwater Sliver. Cabelas has 'em I know that. Have a look (sorry about the gigantic link)

I wouldn't say it's that old. A similar lure has been sitting in my father's tackle box relatively untouched since he switched from surfcasting to medium-light spinning gear. It's definitely a rapala swimmer, fish replica, not an eel imitator. It hangs up on the rocks pretty well, but with a stout boat road, it trolls well, too.

Last thing he caught on it was a bluefish off the nubble, back in the mid 90s...
