Default Vacationing in sagamore beach - advice please

Will be vacationing next week with family for a week, we will be staying at a house two minute walk to beach. Located west of the canal in sagamore beach. Plan on doing a party boat out of Falmouth and/or Plymouth for fluke or strippers in Falmouth and cod and haddock out of Plymouth (never fished for these before).

Anyway, times just on the beach what's the likelihood in catching some stripers, blues, fluke, or porgies? If so, any advice on set up and bait? I striper fish the spawn in the Hudson, primarily live/chunk herring on a fish finder rig, circle hook, and just enough weight to hold bottom.

Also would love to take my 2 year old crabbing for the first time, did some research online and saw that they are catching them, any ideas on good piers/docks to go? Don't mind driving 15-20 minutes

Thanks in advance
