Default Re: Tube N worm VS Umbrella rig

I hope you get a good cross section of opinions, but for me Tube-n-worm...or Tube-n-rind. You can lay one out on either side of the boat and run slow enough to get bottom. Even if you "tag" the bottom it's only a matter of reeling a few turns and you're in the zone. The umbrella, while presenting a school of bait, is very effective and even draws doubles ( once a triple). The problem is is maintaining the "zone" without tagging the bottom. A change in direction or speed can have ugly outcomes. It's much more difficult to maintain two umbrellas when you're alone or with someone less experienced, out for the day.
