NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

Beaver Lake: As of Wednesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake?s elevation at 1107.18 feet MSL.

Southtown Sporting Goods said the lake is very low and very dangerous. Bream fishing is fair in 3 feet of water or less on crickets. Crappie are holding in 8 to 10 feet of water and are biting minnows fished in any visible brush. Bass anglers are doing fair on Carolina-rigs, drop shots and spinnerbaits during the day. The bass will come up to take a surface lure in the early morning and late evening. White bass and stripers are schooling around the No. 12 Bridge.
