Daiwa saltist or quantum cabo?

like the looks of the saltist.....looks rugged and durable....been using cabo pt60 though and they are quality as well

anyone know which is beter, reviewed well, or would preference one over the other?

Both Daiwa and the Quantum make very good reels. IMO

I wouldnt know first hand about the saltiga but I can tell you the Cabo is a beauty - solid - 27 pounds of smooth drag, fairly lightweight and strong. If your not underwater your fine. I use mine often -the 50 and 60 weigh about the same as the Shimano 4500 baitrunner. and a 704 penn - 24 or so ounces. The 40 size weighs 14 ounces.
The only reels you can truly dunk are the van stall and the Zee bass.
Whatever you use, rinse with freshwater afterwards and loosen the tension on the drag knob.
