I'm going to be in the Tiverton area on my annual fishing vacation from the 14th till the 18th of next month. Just looking to see how the waters are producing for surf fishing.
I dont know the area blob but if it's going anything like here (Old Orchard Beach) it's been hit or miss. I think you'll have better luck the further south you're fishing but then again, I always subscribe to that theory 'cause the concentration of bait seems to be more abundant in Mass and Rhode Island then it is here in Maine. Grab some bait, hit the beach and see how it pans out, that's really all you can do no matter where you're fishing really.
I've been fishing west bay and quonny pond and breachway and all I've been into have been little snapper blues.when all else fails their fun on my 3 wt trout fly rod with a size 8 hornberg.their pretty tasty also.:flyfish:
