Title |
My first 704 penn Staal attempt |
Description |
i put a water proof ceramic bearing in it milled the grooves had it sand blasted then powder coated it pearl blue metallic i do not reccomend doing pearl because of the spool just clears the reel cup stock and pearl requirs 3 coats and after powder coating i had some rubbing so i had to sand the powder coat off the bottom lip of the spool.. i also put a aluminum power knob on it i removed the bail wire and sanded down the line roller edge to make it look more like a factory bailless. then i put a stainless washer on the opposite side of the bail mount to give the string a little higher sides so the string cant jump as easily. its not pefect but it definatly wont peel off and is a big improvement from stock ..taking orders to have 704z and 704s milled and powder coated. i havent tried a 706 yet but i will have more hopefully done next week. let me know what ya think... |
