hello folks,

i got back today from IBSP. fished there yesterday all day. went at low tide
to find some good spots for the afternoon flood. i did find some good spots
picked the best and set up.
what do you do when people are getting fish on each side of you and you
are not. look and learn. i like to use the fish finding setups, but they were
not working yesterday. the people next to me had on high /low rigs and
they were working. as soon as i went to the hi/low rigs bang. had 6 hits
in about 3 and half hrs. landed three missed three. one is for dinner tonight.
about 25in. 6bls. another 29in. and one 20.
one of the best part about fishing yesterday(besides the fish) was i learned
not to set yourself in a box. just because you like certin rigs does not mean they are best to use everytime.
ok now on a bad note. one of the "people" next to me were keeping all the fish then cutting them up on the beach . this was not good to see.
i dont know for sure, but i have a hard time believing they were all keepers.
is it legal to cut the fish up on the beach?
anyway i had my best day of surfin since i picked up this "bad habbit"
two years ago. keepin the faith.

When you see people poaching, give a call here:

Put it in your speed dial

609-209-8729

Clinton Dravis - Fish and Game Division of Law enforcement.

Nice guy, had a long BS session with him in front of the 7/11. I did some bitching about people back on the bayshore keeping buckets of tiny bass - he asked to please call him directly on the above number if any of us see this chit happening. He seemed pretty gung ho about kicking some a$$.

I am glad you caught some nice fish. I am not sure of the rules on the beach, but on a boat you can filet a fish but you have to keep the carcus (spell?) untill you get into shore. This way a warden could measure if he had to.
