Let me introduce myself. I live on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia, and I am new to striper fishing. I'm trying to learn all I can; so I'll be perusing the site often.
I have a 24 ft. Manitou tri-toon with a 200 hp Honda engine. Its a great boat; its rigged very nicely for fishing, but yet it is fairly plush so that my wife and grandkids can enjoy cruising and playing as well.
I have all the equipment for fishing (good bait tank, down riggers, planer boards, lots of rods and reels, bait cage, you name it), but I've caught only three stripers in 3 years. I have a hard time explaining that to my wife, but you know how it is ...
