I don't know OC, April 1, your hands kinda look funny, big giant fish? Brian said he saw it on HVS, don't know what that is. I presumed it was a photoshopped April fool's day prank. Looking at it again, and given your question, all I can offer is my congratulations and apologies. What section of the river were you in?

First of the year, and I wasn't even in my boat. (Dead battery and wind). One or the other would have stopped me and I had both issues. Froze my butt off for this fish!

mTested the boat out today in Greene County and brought some tiny bloodworms with me. Visibility was a tad better than I expected. Landed a cat and a 17" striper. I'm on the board

Got blown off the river this morning but stayed out anyway, glad I did because I pulled out this guy for my efforts after the wind died down.Bloodworms in 22 ft of water off Croton point.

Good stuff guys !!!!

Seems there was a little pick up in action over the weekend. Things are going to pop this week, I'm sure there will be more guys out by end of the week.

Fished first time yesterday from shore down Stoney point, 1 fish about 12 inches, didn't even know I had him on till I was brining my lines in to go home. On bloods, hit soon as the tide changed. Happy to get fish first day out!

Spent about two hours on anchor yesterday mid evening. Approaching the top of the incoming tide. Landed 4, lost one at the boat, and lost another that we never got to lay eyes on. Of the 4 in the boat, 3 were mid-low 20" range and one was about 8" long. The one we lost at the boat looked to be in the mid to low 30s, definitely too big for the 18-28 keeper slot. All on bloodworms, we didn't even bother to use herring yet. It was a fun couple hours on the boat. And guys, please stay at home this season. I LOVE feeling like I have the river to myself during this time of the year.
