I fished Albany....had one screaming run on live that I missed, chunk did nothing today. Couldn't believe how many inconsiderate people are out there nowadays, many could've have pitched sabikis into my livewell.

I fished between Buchanan and Manitou today from 1pm to 7pm. We fished worms on bottom rigs and casted some lures. I was hoping we could find some herring for bait but no luck. I'll have to try a sabiki if I can dig it out of my storage box. We did find some promising looking marks especially later in the day that were hanging out 30' over 70-100'.

I couldn't figure out the tides today. It was incoming for most of the trip. The outgoing should have started by 5 or so, but at 6 it still seemed like the current was going north.

All I saw was one small fish caught from shore.

At the ramp it was close to 57F but most of the river was 54F. The water clarity was less than 2'. We might try going south tomorrow in search of warmer water. Hopefully the herring have not all gone north.

After you left had a guy in a 24 ft Bayliner Trophy tells me he was going to drift between me and shore! We were 35ft from shore so I said if he did he would pick up my line and I would not like it if he did!...SO HE DID ANYWAY! Right then I had a screamer on the other side, set the hook and looked over to see the Bayliner within 15 ft of our boat and his floating bait pail grabbing my line.
So I put the striper in the rod holder to save the rod and I lost the striper as it tangled all three lines behind our boat. We had words and he said fishing is supposed to be fun!... I must have ruined it for him...ended up with 39 26 and 24 also a guy just above me got one that looked as big as my 39.

Fished 2 hours this morning between Albany and Troy with my 5 year old cheeto eating, hearing wrangling son, he caught the bait and I caught this 30" fish. Not a monster but he was excited, especially wine he caught the bait. Took live, which is not normal for me

Fished Newburgh from the bridge down to Cornwall Landing. Marked lots of fish, but it ended up being a pick of fish for my friend and me. We ended the morning session at noon with five fish between the two of us. All fish were caught just south of the bridge (within a half mile) on bloods. Four of our fish were between 20 and 28 inches. The fifth one went about 15 inches. We saw quite a few other fish being caught that were of similar size. Water temperature said 53 degrees, but it felt colder.

We brought herring and chunked it, but had no takers. Someone at the launch ramp said that they live-lined a few for two fish in the teens to twenty pound range.

Our apologies to the boat to which we drifted too closely. Yes, we defnitely should have been paying more attention.

Overall, it was a decent day, but there should be better days ahead.

Tightlines everyone!

Not the greatest outgoing tide I've fished. Only got 2 fish. A 34" and a 27".
