Went out with a buddy Sunday from 7 to 2. No luck on stripers and did not see anyone near us catching. Heard a report of one by the rr bridge. Got plenty of herring, two shad hooked on herring rigs and a couple of catfish.

Spent most of Sunday on the water between Black Creek and the KR Bridge. Managed just 2 while trolling. A 16'' that didn't even release from my downrigger and a 26'' male. The 26'' was the 1st fish I could keep since the slot limit kicked in.

Put 3 more in the boat this morning. 30, 35.5 and 39". Would have been 4 but my leader snapped. It must have had a dig that I missed. I'd have stayed out much longer but today is my gfs birthday.. don't have kids during the striper run folks

Continuing an awesome season on the river. Put 7 in the boat today. Longest was 37" and literally made a run that made my jaw drop. It took the "typical" amount of line and when I thought that tug was over my reel started screaming!! Also fought a very very fiesty 32" that took my live bait and had one of the funniest moments on the water with my father. He held up a male that was just leaking fluids... Baby making fluids. It was a solid stream from fish to floor, and kept coming. For those of you that don't know, when taking a photo with a new iPhone, it records a short bit of video also. It was classic because it caught the stream and some extremely funny laughter. Oh man good times and memories. I had to ask him where he put his finger to make that happen....

Fished Albany from 10-4 today, bait was a little tough, finally got onto some fish. Boated 3 from 7-15lbs.

Fished albany marked a ton boated only 1. Herring were consistent from 9am on.saw 6 dead or semi dead floating by. Slot fish, seems a shame especially when gut hooked, eagle food i gues

Yesterday jigged half a dozen herring from a nearby stream then headed out to the river. it was windy and chilly but sunny until about 11 am low tide, then bite changed from channel cats to striped bass. A mile or two south of Kingston, 20 foot deep, on chunk got a 34", 24", 19" and a little one, too, on a bloodworm. All released healthy and lively. The old boat is still running good and no problems with any gear. A good half-day on the river, wished I could have stayed longer but had to head home by early afternoon.
