How deep is the water there right below the dam? and what depth and the stripers usually at? What is the best way to get to them?

Also does anyone ever try for stripers on the fly? I cannot imagine how much fun it would be to catch a big striper on a fly rod

well thanks for the help

I fish the Pickwick Spillway at least once every week from March till late December. Stripers definately can be caught on flys. I have personally caught fish on a fly attached to float n fly rig there during daylight hours in the 6 to 8 lb range. After sunset we usually switch to hardbaits. tight lines and good times to you.:icon_thelmutsalute:

I know this is late but if you check back in here's the depth and it can change 6ft in a few hours. But normal in front of the boils is around 20ft.
The fish are holding anywhere from the bottom to 4ft from the top.
