Default Fishing Sagadahoc Bay

Hey guys,

This is my first post in the forum, i have been reading threads in here for years but was hoping that i could pick your brains for some tips.

I have done a little bit of surf casting off Cape Cod, but this year my family and I are spending a week camping at Sagadahoc Bay Campground in the beginning of August. I was wondering how the fishing was there? I have heard that the tidal changes are pretty dramatic and was wondering if you had any tips? We (my father in-law and myself) will be strictly surf casting as we don't have a boat, Are there any good bait shops near by? any particular live bait? Blood worms? Eels?

Thanks for all of your help,

Tight lines.

I imagine the fishing there... general area.... should be good. They catch some nice ones up the Kennebec. I hear Popham mentioned as good fishing which is just across the bay. I myself do not get that far up the coast, so I'm sorry I'm not much help with bait shops and locations.

Just got back from Camping at Sgadahoc bay Campground, was able to throw out a line a couple of times, caught a couple of small schoolies, on blood worms.
