Question Stripers on a bloodworm only diet south of NB bridge?

Just curiuos , has anyone ever caught a striper on live , whole dead , or chunk herring south of the newburgh beacon bridge ? I've asked a lot of people who fish with both worms and herring , and there answers were no. I tried all last year and and now this year with live and nothing to show for it . I've heard solid reports of people catching fish on live herring in Marlboro but that's as far south as I've heard. Does it have something to do with the salt line ? Or just how concentrated the fish are? Like I said , just curiuos .

I can tell ya last year I had lines out with chunk herring and sandworms...every catch was on the worm...never on the chunk even with poles right next to each other. This was right at the NBB.

I mainly fish south of Haverstraw Bay to Piermont--but mostly at Teller's Pt.

Early on--when the season opens use bloods. But I rather chunk herring when it's available at local bait shop. Cuts down on perch, plus last longer/ seems cheaper for a whole tide.

I caught one and lost one @ PPt on chunk herring this year. But I have also seen three caught at PPt on bloods. -and a ton of perch (of course).
This guy is looking for another spot. If only for the adventure of getting to know a new spot. Good luck.
