Default fish finding rig.

Should I use a small.float near the hook to help.keep the bait off of the bottom?.

Its good for keeping the crabs and skate off your bait. I say yes...give it a try. If anything it makes your bait easier to find and keeps it out of the rocks and other structure.

It depends where you are fishing though...in the surf id say it isnt as necessary.

Casey Keep your float against the hook with your fishfinder rig. About 24" from float to sinker. A killer with worms
