Default Early season?

Looking to get the season goining and I am wondering if there are any signs of stripers off the beaches of Mass. yet?
I am particulary interested in the North Shore locales like Plum Island.

Macs have been just offshgore all winter...

IT'S TOO EARLY FOR BLUEFISH.... those NEVER show @ PI until mid June.. and those are lil rats... Big blues never show before July here ( PI) it's just too cold...

there are a few hold over bass hanging around... but dont look for any Migrants until the first week of May.

No love from the macs today. The birds were working sand eels at the mouth. Snagged two with a sabiki. About 3.5-4 inches.

Thanks roccus. we tried all the usual suspects including the IOS.
It was windy and forecast to get a bit sporty so we didnt venture out to far.
Atleast we got the first run of the season out of the way and the boat ran great!

There was a pilot whale feeding on something at hampton shoal ledge. What ever it was it was trying to get the hell out of the water when that whale came up.
