I used to dig Tape worms on the mud flats and i found them to be a great bait for bass. One plus was that the blue fish would not touch them. That was over twenty years ago, doe's any one use them today. I dug them when i lived in Bridgeport, CT. they were not easy to get, an old timer taught me how and were to dig for them. they were disgusting also, coverd in a lot... of slimy gue. they were pink with a round head and long ribbon like body up to 3 feet long.

Does anyone use Ballyhoo for striper bait? My local B&T sells it, I thought it was a warm water fish and bait? It's about the only bait I haven't tried so I was thinking of giving it a shot...

I keep thinking I should try our left over Ballyhoo each season - I think that a striper would certainly hit a rigged "hoo either worked like a lure or trolled.

We see Ballyhoo in Delaware each fall around the piers but they are always gone before the striper run arrives

I don't think kastmasters and bucktails are considered bait - they're lures.

MIKE T562, Do you fish wire leaders instead of floro/mono leaders? Oh yes I like EELS for bait, or bunker heads. IMHO
