IGFA Series
The Specialty Blue Water IGFA (International Game Fish Association) series trolling rods were created for the 30lb, 50lb, 80lb, and 130lb line class ratings. These Medium Fast tapered rods are equipped with AFTCO® Unibutts® and AFTCO® roller guides to deliver the quality and strength needed when battling the toughest of saltwater adversaries.
The Specialty Blue Water IGFA, Atlantic, Spanish Fly and Pacific series rods are designed and engineered with precision tapers and well defined actions to exceed the very different and unique demands required by anglers on all coasts. This world class saltwater series was created utilizing the most advanced engineering technology available combined with a close partnership between our field testers, local guides, dealers and customers. This collaborative input was vital in accommodating such a wide range of angler preferences, techniques and fishing conditions which has allowed us to offer the quality of a custom built rod with over-the-counter convenience.These rods have been created in the USA using Shimano® designed technology to create high quality, tough, yet responsive rods. Every guide is hand wrapped, and all cork grips and ferrules on the two-piece rods are custom fit only to that individual rod. Shimano backs this series with our warranty program, offering anglers over-the-counter replacement at participating dealers.
